Microsoft Teams Premium launches with features boosted with OpenAI technologies.
Collaboration has been on the minds of almost every tech giant these days. This involves many new technologies and features, of course. And don’t think artificial intelligence can’t help. It’s quite the opposite, in fact. At least that’s what Microsoft believes, launching a Teams Premium service with features boosted by OpenAI’s artificial intelligence today.
Microsoft Launches Teams Premium with features boosted by OpenAI technologies
Following the recent announcement of a multi-billion dollar investment in OpenAI, today’s American giant unveils further integration of this company’s technologies into its products and services. Microsoft announces that Teams Premium is now available worldwide. This service has highly evolved language models powered by OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and another tech that should help make meetings “more intelligent, personalized and protected”, in Microsoft’s own words.
Teams Premium allows for AI-generated PowerPoint live chapters and “custom timeline markers when leaving or joining a meeting.” Live translations in subtitles are also available. In the coming months, Teams Premium will be able to generate meeting notes with the help of GPT-3.5 automatically. Users will also have access to suggested tasks and actions. Undoubtedly, many more AI-powered features will be added to Teams Premium over time.
The company had recently introduced the Azure OpenAI Service for developers, as well as a tool to help beginners design their own apps and a graphic design app based on OpenAI technologies. It is also rumoured that Microsoft is working to integrate ChatGPT, OpenAI’s extremely popular chatbot, into Bing.
