Four days to fill up with announcements of smartphones, connected objects and other technologies related to mobile networks: here is the traditional program of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This 2023 edition could mark the show’s revival after several editions weighed down by the global health crisis. The fair will occur from February 27 to March 2 in Catalan.
Will the Mobile World Congress (MWC) regain its past splendour in 2023? This annual event held in Barcelona is organized by the Group Special Mobile Association (GSMA) and is one of the world’s largest mobile technology industry trade shows.
Outside of the Covid period, the MWC usually attracts hundreds of exhibitors from all over the world, including the largest mobile technology companies and thousands of trade visitors and journalists. The event is an opportunity for companies to showcase their latest innovations and develop new collaborations with other industry players.
The program promises to be rich since the biggest names will be present in Catalonia. Among them are expected Samsung, whose announcements (the Galaxy S23 series) were made at the beginning of February, and above all, Xiaomi, whose conference is planned for February 26, which should make it possible to discover the Xiaomi 13 series.
Other brands also intend to be heard. We think of Honor, which has already announced its intention to hold an event on February 27 at 1:30 p.m. to announce its Magic 5 series and to discuss the Magic Vs, announced last year, but not yet marketed on the European market. Added to this is at least Realme, which specifies that an event dedicated to its GT3, equipped with a 240 W load, will be held on February 28 at 2:30 p.m. Finally, let’s remember OnePlus, which has promised to show more of its mysterious 11 Concept, unveiled during its European conference at the beginning of February, dedicated to the OnePlus 11.
